Zuppa Inglese
(English soup: vanilla cream with boudoir biscuits)
A cold desert with a rather delicate and long preparation
time due to cooling.
The name sounds English, but this is a traditional Italian desert
and a particular favourite of the Medicis. However, in those days
the English loved this dish as much as the Florentines, and hence
the name.
Ingredients for 4:
- 150 ml milk
- 200 ml Kimbo espresso
- 1 pack of vanilla sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 50 g sugar
- salt
- 100 ml liqueur
- 400 g boudoir biscuits
